RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Authorize the Director of Library Services to execute the agreement by and between County of Humboldt and College of the Redwoods, for free adult education instruction for fiscal year (FY) 2023-24.

DISCUSSION:
Humboldt County Library and College of the Redwoods Adult and Community Education are collaborating to provide free American Sign Language classes at the Eureka, Arcata and Fortuna branches and Beginning Computer Skills classes at the Eureka branch. The classes at the Eureka branch will be held in the upstairs classroom, in the community meeting room at the Arcata Branch, and in the main meeting area in Fortuna. There is no charge to the College of the Redwoods for use of the spaces associated with the aforementioned classes.
These classes support the Library's mission, "we strengthen our community by educating inspiring, and connecting people."
Offering these classes support the Library's values:
