DISCUSSION:
Humboldt County is home to many veterans and their families who may face challenges related to housing, mental health, employment and access to earned benefits. Coordinated local and national support is essential to meeting these needs.
This presentation will provide an overview of services available through Nation’s Finest and the Humboldt County Veterans Service Office. Nation’s Finest will discuss its local and nationwide programs, with a focus on mental health services. The Humboldt County Veterans Service Office will outline how the county helps veterans, dependents and survivors access federal and state benefits, including VA disability compensation, pensions, health care, education and survivor benefits through in-person advocacy and guidance.
Together, these partners deliver a coordinated system of national and county-level services that support the stability and well-being of Humboldt County veterans.
