RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Ratify the Interim Aviation Director Signature to the Armstrong/Lochner first amended agreement; and
2. Approve the attached supplemental budget in the amount of $25,712 in the Aviation Capital Projects budget (395170) (4/5 Vote Required); and
3. Authorize the Director of Aviation to sign any additional amendments or extension to the agreement after review and approval by the County Administrative Office, County Counsel and Risk Management.

DISCUSSION:
On April 27, 2021, your Board approved a Pre-Qualification List for Airport Consultant Services. This Pre-Qualification list expired on April 27, 2026. Armstrong/Lochner was one of those consultants.
On Dec. 5, 2023, your Board authorized the Department of Aviation to enter into an agreement with Armstrong/Lochner for the Murray Field Airport (EKA) Runway 12/30 Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) project. This agreement expired Dec. 31, 2024.
Before you today is the first amendment to the Armstrong/Lochner agreement for the Murray Field Airport (EKA) Runway 12/30 Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) project for remaining costs and extending the term of the agreement from Jan. 1, 2025, to the Dec. 31, 2026, to capture outstanding initial design costs.
