DISCUSSION:
The California State Board of Forestry created the F.H. Raymond Award to be given to an individual or organization for outstanding contributions during the prior five years to the protection and wise use of forest resources in California. The award recognizes outstanding performances in management, research, education, and seeking public awareness of forest resources.
The Board Chair sent a letter of support for the nomination of Gary Rynearson and now the Board of Supervisors is being asked to ratify that letter. Mr. Rynearson is not only a strong supporter of the community, but his contributions to forest management and reforestation are outstanding.
