DISCUSSION:
The North Coast Kiwanis Champions for Children event took place on Feb. 23, 2021. This event was held to recognize those in the community who continually support and give back to the children in Humboldt County. Those being recognized included: Karen Mann (Individual Award), Derek and Cheryl Kingham (Perseverance in Volunteerism Award); Early Literacy Partners Program (Non-Profit Award); Vern’s Furniture (Business Award) and Dale Warmuth (Lifetime Achievement Award). The proceeds from this event will benefit the Soroptimist of Eureka, Girl Scouts, the Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods and the Early Literacy Partner’s Battle of the Books programs.
