RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Form an ad hoc committee called "Ferndale Fairgrounds Ad Hoc Committee" for negations regarding real property located at 1250 5th Street, Ferndale California consisting of two members of the Board of Supervisors, one representative from the County Administrative Office, two representatives from the Department of Public Works, and two representatives from Ferndale Fair Association; and
2. Direct the ad hoc committee to return to the Board with findings and recommendations for further consideration and direction.

DISCUSSION:
Public Works is requesting the Board establish an ad hoc committee called "Ferndale Fairgrounds Ad Hoc Committee" to facilitate discussions and negotiations regarding the real property located at 1250 5th Street in Ferndale, California, commonly known as the Humboldt County Fairgrounds.

The proposed ad hoc committee would consist of two members of the Board of Supervisors, one representative from the County Administrative Office, two representatives from the Department of Public Works, and two representatives from the Ferndale Fair Association. The committee's purpose would be to discuss and negotiate terms related to deferred maintenance obligations and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvement projects associated with the six-month lease term.

Upon completion of its discussions and negotiations, the ad hoc committee will return to the Board with its findings and recommendations for further directions and consideration.
