DISCUSSION:

Gene and Betty Senestraro have dedicated their lives to family, agriculture, and service to Humboldt County. Betty, a Humboldt County native from Elk River, has volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital for more than 25 years, helped manage the family dairy, and raised six children. Gene has spent over seven decades strengthening Humboldt County agriculture through leadership roles with the Humboldt County Farm Bureau and numerous local and state boards, supporting farming, education, youth, and natural resources. Together, they have supported local scholarships and youth programs, helped advance agricultural education, promoted sustainable agriculture, and served as role models for community engagement. This proclamation recognizes their lifetime of service, leadership, and enduring contributions to the Humboldt County community.
