RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached reporting service subscription agreement with the National Council on Crime and Delinquency regarding the provision of internet access to the SafeMeasures reporting tool for the period of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2022, with an optional 2-year extension covering the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024;
2. Authorize the Department of Health and Human Services - Child Welfare Services Director, or a designee thereof, to execute any and all subsequent amendments to the attached reporting service subscription agreement with the National Council on Crime and Delinquency, after review and approval by County Counsel, Risk Management and the County Administrative Office;
3. Direct the clerk of the Board to return one fully executed original copy of the attached reporting service subscription agreement with the National Council on Crime and Delinquency to the Department of Health and Human Services - Contract Unit for further processing.

The National Council on Crime and Delinquency's (NCCD) Children's Research Center works to improve child safety, permanency and well-being by collaborating with state and local agencies to implement risk-based decision-support systems for child protection. NCCD helps child-serving agencies improve direct practice and organizational operations using models that integrate evidence-based assessments, family-centered engagement strategies and implementation science.
