That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Adopt the proclamation proclaiming Saturday, April 25, 2026, as Airport Day in Humboldt County.

DISCUSSION:
In recognition of the vital role local airports play in supporting emergency response, economic vitality, and community connectivity and to honor the efforts of the Cal Poly Humboldt Aviation Club in promoting aviation education and public engagement, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors is pleased to highlight the importance of aviation in our region.
The Cal Poly Humboldt Aviation Club is actively working to educate and inspire community members, particularly youth, by increasing awareness of the economic impact and essential services aviation provides throughout Humboldt County.
The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors proclaims Saturday, April 25, 2026, as Airport Day in Humboldt County, and warmly invites residents, families, and visitors to join the Cal Poly Humboldt Aviation Club at Murray Field (EKA).
Community members are encouraged to participate in activities, engage with aviation professionals, and learn more about the many ways aviation supports and connects our community.
