RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Receive and file the report regarding Golden State Resource's Forest Resiliency Demonstration project; and
2. Consider authorizing the Chair of the Board to sign the attached letter to Golden State Natural Resources requesting that the public comment period for the draft Environmental Impact Report related to the Forest Resiliency Demonstration Project be extended to ninety (90) days and that additional opportunities for public input on this environmental document be provided.
3. Take other action or provide direction as appropriate.

DISCUSSION:
The Board of Supervisors will receive an update from Patrick Blacklock regarding Golden State Natural Resources' Forest Resiliency Demonstration Project. This report will include information on the draft Environmental Impact Report for the project. The attached letter to Golden State Natural Resources that will be considered by the Board of Supervisors, requests that the public comment period for the draft Environmental Impact Report related to the Forest Resiliency Demonstration Project be extended to ninety (90) days and that additional opportunities for public input on the environmental document be provided, in order to allow for transparency and equitable process for public participation.
