RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve and authorize the Board Chair to sign the attached resolution that accepts grant funding from the CalTrans Clean California Local Grant Program in the amount of $285,389 for the Beautifying the Bay Project and authorizes the County Administrative Officer to execute the grant agreement and any subsequent amendments, certifications, reimbursement requests and other documents necessary to implement the Project and administer the grant; and
2. Authorize the County Administrative Officer, or designee, to execute the CalTrans RGA-01-CCEP-04 agreement; and
3. Authorize the County Administrative Officer to sign the Professional Services Agreement with Redwood Community Action Agency for fiscal years (FY) 2025-26 and 2026-27 in the amount of $256,850.10, for the implementation of grant awarded project, contingent upon final approval by Risk.

DISCUSSION:
The Humboldt County Workforce Development Board is seeking approval to accept and implement the "Building Futures, Beautifying the Bay," grant-funded initiative aimed at improving environmental conditions in the Humboldt Bay area while expanding workforce development opportunities for at-risk youth.
