DISCUSSION:
The National Day of Service brings together individuals, civic organizations and government agencies to address urgent needs, promote community well-being and encourage volunteerism.
On Sept. 28, 2025, the Eureka Woman’s Club, along with local, state and national partners, will host a public event to raise awareness about domestic violence, missing and murdered Indigenous women and human trafficking. The event will highlight prevention, survivor support services and collaborative solutions that protect the safety, dignity and human rights of Humboldt County residents.
Adopting this proclamation affirms the Board’s support for these initiatives and encourages residents to participate in service opportunities that strengthen public safety, equality and justice.
