DISCUSSION:
A vacancy is occurring on the North Coast Railroad Authority. This vacancy is due to the term expiration of Richard Marks, as of March 10, 2022. The Vacancy Notice is attached.
Please note, as members of the North Coast Railroad Authority, the County of Humboldt has two members and an alternate. Supervisor Madrone is the current member appointed at the January 5, 2021 meeting with a two-year term expiring on December 31, 2022. Supervisor Michelle Bushnell is the Alternate for Supervisor Madrone with the same end of term date. Richard Marks is the community member.
Unless the Clerk of the Board is notified during today’s meeting of a desire to calendar this matter for further discussion on a date specific, the Clerk of the Board’s office will bring an appointment agenda item four weeks from todays’ meeting. This item will be a departmental discussion agenda item on April 12, 2022.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Approval of this agenda item results in no impact to the General Fund beyond staff time spent in development of this staff report.
