That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Adopt the proclamation and hear the short presentation.

DISCUSSION:
The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors would like to recognize October 2023 as Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence Awareness and hear a short presentation from the Humboldt Domestic Violence Services (HDVS). HDVS is a local group who educate and advocate to change the social norms that perpetuate violence and human trafficking. They have been working for 46 years to provide lifesaving serves to victims and survivors.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no financial impact to adopting a ceremonial proclamation.
