DISCUSSION:
The Board of Supervisors is recognizing the Veterans Transition Training Alliance and the Clarke Historical Museum for their continued dedication to honoring United States military veterans and their service to Humboldt County. The proposed proclamation designates Veterans Transition Training Alliance and the Clarke Historical Museum as key community partners in the planning, development and interpretation of veterans’ memorial projects at the California Redwood Coast-Humboldt County Airport.
This designation encourages collaboration among veterans, tribal governments, local agencies, community organizations and the public to ensure veterans’ memorials are historically accurate, culturally respectful, accessible and thoughtfully maintained while supporting future fundraising and educational opportunities.
