DISCUSSION:
This certificate of recognition acknowledges the work and contributions of Jeweleanna Nelson, who has interned with Supervisor Natalie Arroyo for approximately three months in spring 2026. Nelson is a political science student at U.C. Davis who was born and raised in Humboldt County and was able to do an internship at home as part of her studies.

During her time as an intern, Nelson researched legislation of interest to the County of Humboldt, assisted Supervisor Arroyo with outreach and print/design deliverables for several community events, took and distributed detailed notes at multiple important meetings, and attended many community and regional events to assist with documenting county activities.

Furthermore, Nelson has been a positive and uplifting presence in the office and in the community, bringing levity to the office and providing great input on local government activities. Supervisor Arroyo and the County of Humboldt wish Jeweleanna Nelson all the best in her studies and appreciate her passion for learning more about local government.
