RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Waive the requirements of the Humboldt County Nuclear-Free Ordinance with regard to the attached agreement with the Humboldt Transit Authority and the Humboldt County Association of Governments (4/5 Vote Required); and
2. Approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached agreement with the Humboldt Transit Authority and the Humboldt County Association of Governments regarding the provision of region-wide Dial-A-Ride services for the period of July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026; and
3. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return one (1) fully executed original copies of the attached agreement to the Department of Public Works for further processing.

DISCUSSION:
The Humboldt County Association of Governments designated the Humboldt Transit Authority as the Consolidated Transportation Services Agency for Humboldt County, effective July 1, 2016. As the Consolidated Transportation Services Agency, Humboldt Transit Authority is responsible for administering a consolidated region-wide program to provide advance reservation, curb-to-curb transportation for qualified elderly and disabled persons in the Cities of Arcata and Eureka and unincorporated areas of Humboldt County.
