DISCUSSION:
The Redwood Coast Tsunami Working Group (RCTWG), along with the residents of Fields Landing will be conducting a Community Wide Tsunami Evacuation DRILL at 10:00am on Saturday, October 12, 2019. The primary goal of this DRILL is to ensure that community members and visitors of Fields Landing know how to evacuate quickly and safely in the event of a large earthquake and locally induced tsunami. Past DRILLS, in other communities, have demonstrated that people react better during real tsunamis when they have practiced evacuating.
