RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached first amendment to the professional services agreement with Chabot-Las Positas Community College District regarding the provision of Title IV-E training and educational services for the period of August 27, 2019 through June 30, 2020;
2. Approve, and authorize the Department of Health and Human Services - Child Welfare Services Director, or a designee thereof, to execute any and all subsequent amendments to the professional services agreement with Chabot-Las Positas Community College District dated August 27, 2019, after review and approval by County Counsel, Risk Management and the County Administrative Office; and
3. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return one (1) fully executed original copy of the attached first amendment to the professional services agreement with Chabot-Las Positas Community College District to the Department of Health and Human Services - Contract Unit for further processing.

DISCUSSION:
Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, in collaboration with the Department of Health and Human Services - Child Welfare Services ("DHHS - Child Welfare Services"), provides training and educational services that are designed to assist child welfare providers, and other eligible populations, in serving Title IV-E eligible children in foster and adoptive care in Humboldt County.
