AB 2236 (Bauer-Kahan) Solid Waste: Reusable Grocery Bags; Standards: Plastic Film Prohibition eliminates the exemption of thicker plastic film bags from the state’s single-use bag ban.  It stipulates that only paper bags are permitted to be sold at point of sale.  This legislation promotes a shift to more sustainable alternates to reduce plastic pollution.
