RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Adopt the attached resolution which authorizes the Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) - Public Health Director, or a designee thereof, to accept funding made available through the California Department of Justice Tobacco Grant Program in the amount of $203,276; and
2. Authorize the DHHS-Public Health Director, or designee thereof to execute the attached Tobacco Grant Program Grant Services Branch - Local Assistance Division of Operations Memorandum of Understanding; and
3. Authorize the DHHS-Public Health Director, or designee thereof to execute all subsequent amendments, and any other agreements, certifications, attestations, and documents directly related to the grant agreement, after review of County Counsel and Risk Management; and
4. Direct the Auditor-Controller to post the attached supplemental budget in the amount of $65,787 in Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-25 budget in Fund 1175, Budget Unit 411, Hazmat Program (4/5 Vote Required); and
5. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return one, (1) fully executed certified copy of the attached resolution, to the Department of Health and Human Services-Public Health, Division of Environmental Health for the submission to the California Department of Justice.
