RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve Award Number 922564 between the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) (Attachment #1);
2. Authorize the Chair of the Board, Sheriff, Correctional Captain and Deputy Director of Financial and Support Services to execute all necessary contracts, Memorandums of Understanding, agreements and amendments thereto, in the name of the County of Humboldt, with prior review and approval by the CAO's office, County Counsel, and Risk;
3. Authorize the Chair of the Board, Sheriff, Correctional Captain and Deputy Director of Financial and Support Services to execute all other certifications, assurances, or documents required by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), such authorization shall be retroactive to July 1, 2023, to facilitate documents that need to be signed timely for this grant; and
4. Approve the supplemental budget (Attachment #2) in the amount of $350,000 for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 for the California Providing Access and Transforming Health (PATH) Justice-Involved (JI) Round 3 Planning and Capacity Building Program Grant (4/5 Vote Required).
