RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1) Approve the amendment to professional services agreement with Kronick, Moskovitz, Tiedemann, and Girard for the term to encompass Fiscal Years 2022-23 and 2023-24 and increase the contract amount to a total not to exceed amount of $200,000.

DISCUSSION:
The County of Humboldt has used the services of the investigative firm Kronick, Moskovitz, Tiedemann, and Girard for many years. Under the scope of this amendment Kronick, Moskovitz, Tiedemann, and Girard provides professional investigative services to the county. Due to the complexity and volume of investigations that have been initiated, staff endorses utilizing this firm to complete ongoing investigations and have availability in the professional services agreement for additional investigations to be initiated.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The attached amendment to the professional services agreement with Kronick, Moskovitz, Tiedemann, and Girard has a total payable amount of $200,000 through June 30, 2024.

Expenditure appropriations related to the attached amendment was included in the approved FY 2022-23 budget for Human Resources - Liability (3524-354). Funding for the attached amendment is available through Charges for Services, including charges to departments within the General Fund.
