DISCUSSION:

Hayle Gibson-Stillwell, a barrel racer from Redcrest in Humboldt County, made an impressive debut at the 2025 National Finals Rodeo (NFR) in Las Vegas. Competing against the best barrel racers in the world, Gibson-Stillwell earned a standout Round 7 victory with a time of 13.45 seconds aboard her homebred mare, Buncha Dinero (“Piper”), which brought in $36,667.95 in earnings.

Throughout the NFR, she consistently posted competitive runs, placing in multiple go-rounds and climbing into the top tier of the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association world standings during the event. Gibson-Stillwell’s strong performances contributed to significant season and finals earnings and were widely recognized as an exceptional showing for a first-time NFR qualifier from Humboldt County, highlighting both her skill and the strength of her horse partnership on rodeo’s biggest stage.  The Board of Supervisors would like to recognize Hayle Gibson-Stillwell with a Certificate of Recognition for these accomplishments.
