DISCUSSION:

The Board of Supervisors would like to recognize Mark and Dina Moore with a Certificate honoring them as the Cattleman and Cattlewoman of the year.  Mark and Dina Moore are the current owners of the long-standing Lone Star Ranch.  The ranch has been a traditional commercial cow-calf business as well as engaging in several business enterprises.  The ranch history has also implemented multiple regional, state, and federal conservation projects.  Currently Mark serves on the Williamson Act Advisory Commission and the Resource Conservations District, Dina serves on the Humboldt Area Foundations, the UC President’s Advisory Commission on Ag and Natural Resources, and on the advisory committee for the North Coast Regional Land Trust.
