RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached professional services agreement with McKinleyville Community Collaborative regarding implementation of the Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health Certificate Training Program for the period of September 26, 2023 through June 30, 2024;
2. Authorize the Department of Health and Human Services - Behavioral Health Director, or a designee thereof, to execute any and all subsequent amendments to the attached professional services agreement with McKinleyville Community Collaborative, after review and approval by County Counsel, Risk Management and the County Administrative Office; and
3. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return one (1) fully executed original copy of the attached professional services agreement with McKinleyville Community Collaborative to the Department of Health and Human Services - Contract Unit for further processing.

DISCUSSION:
Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health curriculum addresses the social-emotional wellbeing of young children between zero (0) to five (5) of age and provides a framework of promotion, preventative-intervention and treatment approaches within the context of the child's relationship to their parents and/or caregiver. Providing behavioral health services to infants and young children is a skillset that requires specialized training.
