That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Review and adopt a resolution approving the attached revised Rules of the Board of Supervisors.

DISCUSSION:
On March 19, 2019 your Board created an Ad Hoc Committee comprised of Supervisors Bass and Madrone to bring back recommended changes to the Board of Supervisors’ Board Rules. Before your Board today are revised Rules of the Board of Supervisors.
The attached revised rules reflect modifications that address areas identified by the Ad Hoc Committee. Specifically:
• Includes an introduction and purpose statement.
• More clearly defines the responsibilities, roles and duties of all supervisors.
• Provides direction on parliamentary rules, statement of conflict and general agenda item process.
• Provides principles and standards of ethical conduct.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is minimal financial impact to adopting revised Board Rules.

This action supports your Board’s Strategic Framework by fostering transparent, accessible, welcoming and user friendly services.
