RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached professional services agreement with Humboldt Senior Resource Center regarding the provision of housing maintenance and supportive services that are designed to prevent senior citizens and adults with disabilities from becoming homeless for the period of May 1, 2020 through Nov. 30, 2021;
2. Authorize the Department of Health and Human Services Director, or a designee thereof, to execute any and all subsequent amendments to the attached professional services agreement with Humboldt Senior Resource Center, after review and approval by County Counsel, Risk Management and the County Administrative Office; and
3. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return one fully executed original copy of the attached professional services agreement with Humboldt Senior Resource Center to the Department of Health and Human Services - Contract Unit for further processing.

DISCUSSION:
On July 23, 2019 (Item C-11), the Board approved an intergovernmental transfer (IGT) agreement authorized by California Welfare and Institutions Code Sections 14164 and 14301.4. California counties participating in Medi-Cal managed care, including the County of Humboldt as a member of Partnership HealthPlan of California, qualify for additional federal Medicaid funds for health services if they enter into IGT agreements with the California Department of Health Care Services.
