DISCUSSION:

Each year the Truckers’ Parade is a large community event supported by both the private and public sectors.  This event will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, in Eureka, California.  The Roads Division of the Humboldt County Department of Public Works is requesting approval to enter county-owned equipment numbers 94140 and 22616, in the Truckers’ Parade.  Employees will volunteer their time to decorate and drive the equipment in the parade and pay all entry fees.  The employees feel this will be beneficial to the parade attendees as well as beneficial to the morale of the employees.  The Public Works’ entry generally places first or second in the parade.
