On January 22, 2019, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors (“Board”) approved a license agreement with the Humboldt County Resource Conservation District (“HCRCD”) regarding use of one hundred sixty-eight (168) square feet of office space, utilities and janitorial located in the County of Humboldt’s Agricultural Building at 5630 South Broadway, Eureka, California. In return for providing office space to HCRCD, the County of Humboldt benefits from state, federal and private funds received by HCRCD to implement resource conservation projects on behalf of the residents of Humboldt County.
The attached first amendment to the license agreement with HCRCD will grant HCRCD permission to use the fenced parking area located at 5630 South Broadway, Eureka, California for staff parking and placement of a container on-site that is needed to store necessary supplies and equipment. The space was recently vacated by the United States Department of Agriculture following their relocation from the Agricultural Building in November 2024.
Accordingly, staff recommends that the Board approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached first amendment to the license agreement with HCRCD regarding use of real property located at 5630 South Broadway, Eureka, California.
