DISCUSSION:
On July 11,2023, your Board approved the third and final change order for the Humboldt
County Correctional Facility Accessibility Improvement Project, Project Number 2019-102 in
the amount of $30,032.84. Before you today is a supplemental budget in the amount of $30,033 to effectuate the payment of the change order.

Narrative Explanation of Financial Impact:
Funds for the Humboldt County Correctional Facility Accessibility Improvement Project, Project Number 2019-102 were not rolled forward to the current fiscal year’s budget. As described above the approval of the supplement budget for $30,033 will transfer funds from the 2020 Finance Plan to the ADA Compliance project budget (3552-152) to close out payments for the Humboldt County Correctional Facility Accessibility Improvement Project, Project Number 2019-102. Use of the 2020 Finance Plan was previously approved as the funding mechanism for this project.

Approval of the attached supplemental budget will not impact current staffing levels.

ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS:
Your board may choose to not approve the supplemental budget. However, this is not recommended as the transfer of funds is needed to effectuate the payment of the change order.
