1. Receive and file a presentation from Department of Health and Human Services Child Welfare Services.

DISCUSSION:
The Department of Health and Human Services Child Welfare Services has prepared a presentation highlighting the core programs within Child Welfare Services and the good work and passion of staff. This presentation to your Board will walk through the Child Welfare programs/units and highlight laws and regulations governing Child Welfare Services work, how child abuse/neglect referrals are received and flow through the core programs as social workers respond to the needs of the families to ensure the safety of children in the community.
Child Welfare Services staff includes social workers being recognized this month as well as management, specialists, and support staff. Child Welfare Services presenters will share these highlights and data showing successes in helping people to live better lives.
