DISCUSSION:

Friday Night Live and Club Live programs are youth-serving after school clubs that provide youth with social networks, peer support, leadership skills, and substance use resiliency skills. These clubs are youth-driven, action oriented, and culturally competent. These clubs will occur at Boys and Girls Club of the Redwoods locations in Humboldt County.

On March 24, 2022, DHHS - Public Health issues Request for Proposals (RFP) No. DHHS 2022-02, which solicited proposals from qualified organizations to provide Friday Night Live services. DHHS - Public Health received zero responses to RFP No. DHHS 2022-02. At that point, staff began recruiting local organizations to perform the Friday Night Live services. Boys and Girls Club was able and willing.
