SUBJECT:title

Annual Resolutions Authorizing the New Chair and Vice-Chair for 2026 to Take Any and All Actions to Act as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Humboldt County Board of Supervisorsend

 

RECOMMENDATION(S):Recommendation

That the Board of Supervisors:

1.                     Adopt the attached resolutions authorizing the new Chair, Mike Wilson and Vice-Chair, Natalie Arroyo to take any and all actions necessary to act as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board of Supervisors, including, without limitation, execution of necessary documents related to financial transactions, acceptance of grants of real property, eligibility to receive state and federal surplus property and execution of resolutions of the Board of Supervisors;

2.                     Direct the Clerk of the Board to forward the original executed Resolution, and related documents, regarding Eligibility Renewal Application & Federal Surplus Property Program along with a copy of the Board Order to: Department of General Services, State and Federal Surplus Property Program, 1700 National Drive, Sacramento, California 95834; and 

3.                     Direct the Clerk of the Board to provide the County Counsel’s office with one (1) fully executed, certified copy of each of the attached resolutions.

DISCUSSION:

With the adoption of the attached resolutions, the new Chair, Mike Wilson and Vice-Chair, Natalie Arroyo will be authorized to take any and all actions necessary to act as Chair and Vice-Chair for calendar year 2026, as directed by the Board of Supervisors, including, without limitation, execution of necessary documents related to financial transactions, acceptance of grants of real property, eligibility to receive state and federal surplus property and execution of resolutions of the Board of Supervisors.

 

SOURCE OF FUNDING

None

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

There are no direct costs associated with the adoption of the attached resolutions authorizing the new Chair, Mike Wilson and Vice-Chair, Natalie Arroyo to take any and all actions necessary to act as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board of Supervisors.  As a result, the recommended actions will not impact the Humboldt County General Fund.

 

STAFFING IMPACT:

Adoption of the attached resolutions authorizing the new Chair, Mike Wilson and Vice-Chair, Natalie Arroyo to take all actions necessary to act as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board of Supervisors will not impact current staffing levels. 

 

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:

None

 

ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS:

Board discretion.
