DISCUSSION:

The Humboldt County Fish & Game Advisory Commission is accepting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for educational and conservation projects benefiting local fish and wildlife. A total of $4,000*, sourced from state fish and wildlife code violation funds, will be awarded to projects focused on the education, protection, conservation, propagation or preservation of fish and wildlife within Humboldt County.

Organizations, educators and community groups with qualifying projects are encouraged to apply. Proposals must demonstrate a clear benefit to local fish and wildlife and align with the Fish & Game Advisory Commission’s purpose of promoting sustainable natural resource practices in Humboldt County.

General Fund

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

*Projected amounts are estimates and are subject to change.

Funds awarded are code violation funds provided by the California Department of Fish & Wildlife. This grant program does not have a financial impact on the County of Humboldt’s General Fund outside of staff time costs.

 

STAFFING IMPACT:

There is no staffing impact associated with this grant program outside of staff time.
