Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Authorize the Chair to sign the resolution; and
2. Authorize the Chair to sign the Letter of Support to Senator McGuire and Assemblymember Wood upon resolution approval.

DISCUSSION:
An effort is underway to designate a portion of State Highway 299 near Blue Lake Humboldt County Sheriff Gene W. Cox Memorial Highway in memory of Gene W. Cox who passed away on November 29, 1982. Sheriff Cox was a dedicated servant to his community. He was a fierce advocate for his county, a philanthropist and highly valued. The Board of Supervisors is sending a resolution and letter of support for this effort.
